acutally i was just too lazy and cant think of much to post anyway

so got through syf auditions
concert coming up and fml, i havent memorised all my scores
and then that next week eveyday got choir, except friday
yes, maybe even sunday will have
we've been screwing up performance after performance
so i dun really know if really can get gwh

mon we went to the hall and sang the choir anthem
no importa la distancia, meaning go the distance in latin
it was awesome, just :O
everybody sang with such emotion that it was just woah

wed's syf
must get at least gold and thats the frggin minimum

sigh i failed maths for the 1st time
fml didnt even have time to study for it
wth imma gonna mug after the 10th

sian oh well
so its syf then concert then studies

ps i just realised i hav peer tutoring after concert lol
so my saturdays are still not free

thinking back, this year has been awesome despite it being our o level year

i am really fine with ppl who have gave the effort to prove that you are superior, even if he or she is not, i will still respect them
but i am not fine with ppl who do not put in any effort at all and just say straight in your face that: hey, i am so much better than you and you know it
these ppl, i won't ever respect cause they just waste away precious time in the face of a major exam and aim so low (as in high for L1R5)

shall blog abt left handers
i noe u think i am bein random but it was jz another one of those random interests that will oni last for a while
but the origin of this interest is cause i am also a left hander (in case you still dunno which i bet is abt 90% of u readin this)
also got other factors lah
like don tellin me that left handers are better at memorising and thinking
and my mum tellin me that left handers SHOULD be better at art
and also in an attempt to revive my blog
since 13 dec was over (i was plannin to blog abt WYCF but oh wells another dae)
but i seem to hate memorisin and really suck at art

exam techniques

about 1 week to exams...
since i havent started studying, i shall blog abt exam techniques today

1)spend more time on your weaker subjects
well, DUH
spend so much time on your stronger subjects for what?

2) study early
well, too late for that now...

3) take note of what is being tested and try to take hints from the teacher near exam period ( yes, which is now )
not effective for O levels though...

4) specialise for humanities
dan chew's technique
dunno if effective

5) take note of the time constrains and time limit of the exams
dont spend too much time on a single question
esp for math and science and humanities
my plan for math is:
half hour for section A and B each
abt 10-30 min for graph
checking + doing of questions that you have skipped: rest of the time
*this plan is plausible only if you have good command over basic mathematical concepts and only if you are confident of yourself
*confident, not complacent

6) sleep early
you'll need too feel refreshed for that day!

7) strategise
see what you'll do if a particular situation crops up

8) make sure you study the day before the exam, even on the day itself, just wheneva you have time to
even 1 min of studyin is better than none!

9) clarify whatever doubts before the exams
ask teachers, friends, whoever that can help

10)form study groups
just make sure you are really studyin

11) self-study a subject if you have to
like what i am doin for chem and phy
make notes and shut off in class
what can i say?
even textbooks can teach better than SOME teachers * hint hint *

12) check after every paper
it may get you abt 3-4 marks

13) be confident
easier said than done but it helps...

14) still study your best subjects on the day before exams
just put more emphasis on other subjects

choir concert: childhood miniatures

so yesterdae we went to the concert
its great!
most of them were conductors anyway so u cant really expect anything less
i thought i heard some sharps durin the performance but i guess that was just my imagination

then durin the intermission desmond and i went to the toilet
he almost went into the girl's toilet lah
then i said: oi u girl ah?
then some random indian acted retarded by saying: a, b, c, d...
does this prove that all indians are ...?
ok i'll not be rasict but seriously, i was quite pissed off
i blame desmond :(

then gretel wanted to change place with desmond, who was siting nxt to me, durin the intermission
after changin, she told me she thinks desmond like diana
hmmmmm... i wonder...

out of boredoom (yet again) i have decided to blog abt my school: zhonghua sec school

ok
you may or may not have heard of this 'band 1' school
but i can tell you it is not as good it seems on the PSLE book-of-sec-schools you ppl will or have recieved

let me try to recount what are the major events that i experienced since joining the 'Zhonghua family'
jan '07: orientation camp on the 1ST day of school
mar '07: sports carnival @ bishan stadium with NO transport provided
may '07: MYE
may '07: learning carnival
aug '07: aces day cum national day celebration
oct '07: EOY

2008 was almost like this

then we come to 2009:
may '09: sports arnival
jun '09: sec 3 camp / obs / NaCLI

yup
thats about it
as you can see, there has been a significant decrease in the activities being planned for us students
this may have been because of the change of principals

the previous principal, ms tan hwee pin, tried her best and aided zhss in becoming a band 1 school
she was then sent to the ministry and mrs dolly ong took her place
under her, the school underwent a major change
she added 2 new music rooms, one of which had a comlete drumset, a resource room, etc. etc.
however, the largest change was what the students despised most: zhss became a science niche school in 2009

this change made many 'pissed off' at the school
the teachers saw students writing the lyrics of songs, sleeping, etc. etc. while sitting for the physics exam

personally, i feel that teachers should 1st try to understand that the students are only doing this because they disagree with the teachers setting the physics paper, or any other science paper for that matter, to such a diffiulty that it would make most of us fail
also, teachers should first look at the statistics before deciding on the science niche thing

i do hope that we can be a math niche school though
then can do harder math questions :p
