New section!!!

decided to add a new section to my blog since i am so bored
its the math section :D

ok
in my math section, i will talk abt the different sections and theories that mathematicians came out with, namely Fermatt's last theory and the Chaos theory
also, i will post mathematical questions and solutions that is really fascinating
i will also post some extra stuff that will be revealed later
ain't this just exciting???

ok lets start with one of the questions
this is Lewis Carroll's clock puzzle:

there are 2 clocks
one is only right once every year
the other is correct twice a day
which one will you choose?

most people will of course choose the latter
now answer this:

there are two clocks
one does not move at all
meaning to say it does not have any battery or it is just spoilt
the other loses one minute every hour
meaning to say at 12PM it will tell 12PM
at 1PM, it will tell 12.59PM
at 2PM it will tell 1.58PM etc. etc.
now, which one would you choose?

naturally, most people will choose the losing clock

now, observe that the losing clock loses 1440 minutes everyday
and is hence only correct only about once a year
the clock that does not move will tell the time correctly twice a day,
once in the morning and once in the evening

this is a very simple illustration illustrating to us the wonders of math in everyday life
aftr all, 'there is no branch of math that does not apply itself to our lives'
look outside of the window,
you will see roads, geomatrical figures forming the shape of things etc.
the road you see is only a small portion of the road network in your country
you can only move to point B from point A quickly because the road system saves you time when you do so
also, the geomatrical figures tesselate or join together to form another shape
hence, it can be seen that math is all around us,
its just for us to realise this fact and perhaps develop our interest in it
it is, after all, linked to almost all other topics except the languages
